Current projects

  • Internet research programme (2015 - 2018): The proposed research programme represents the expansion of the proposing team's research activities. This team has been working for almost two decades on two aspect of Internet research: the Internet as a research object and the Internet as a research tool. The results of the proposed activities will provice an original contribution to the development of the social sciences in both, substantial and methodological aspects. Details on ARRS web page.
  • Safer Internet Centre (SIC, 2015 - 2016): Slovenia is the national project promoting and ensuring a better Internet for kids. This is an EU initiated and co-financed project, in Slovenia financial support also comes from the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport. The project is run by a consortium of partners coordinated by the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana: the Academic and Research Network of Slovenia (Arnes), the Slovenian Association of friends of youth (ZPMS) and the Youth Information and Counselling Centre of Slovenia (MISSS).
    • Safer Internet Centre Slovenia has three components:

      • Helpline Tom telefon,
      • Hotline Spletno oko.
  • ERIC - The Decision announcing the award of ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium) status to the European Social Survey was published in the Official Journal of the EU on 30 November 2013. ERICs are facilities for the scientific community, allowing researchers access to archives and tools to conduct top-level research.
  • SERISS - Synergies for Europe’s Research Infrastructures in the Social Sciences (SERISS); this aims to equip Europe’s social science data infrastructures to play a major role in addressing the key societal challenges facing Europe today and ensure that national and European policymaking is built on a solid base of the highest-quality socio-economic evidence.
